IF it's under warenty better to send to mackie cause it's a pain in the arse to get under the hood. 1 big PCB surfaced mounted. IF not under warrenty better off putting in the dumpster.

Mackie CR1604 VLZ (similar?) http://www.gyraf.dk/schematics/Mackie%20CR1604%20VLZ.pdf

I know. I used to do warranty service for Wackie!

1 big PCB surfaced mounted.

This is the older version (no "-PRO" suffix). I haven't opened it up yet but I think it's through-hole, not surface-mount.

Nah, if I wanted to get rid of it, I'd sell it. There are still people out there who think Mackie is da bomb even though most of us here know better  . The 1402 is still popular for video editing suites. There are better mixers for music recording, but Mackies do fine in a mostly-dialogue environment. I specified a 1642 for our TV truck, and I'm not ashamed because it does what we need it to do within the budget we had.

Mackie CR1604 VLZ (similar?)

Similar but not quite the same. The 1604 has subgroups and sweepable EQ. The basic building block circuits are probably the same but I don't know that for certain. (I don't have access to Mackie service manuals since I left the repair biz).

Hi Dave....

I'm almost sure I have one but I just got up  and haven't had my coffee yet  .....Let me check and I'll let you know in a couple of hours. What's the best way to email it to you?

Hi Test Point,
Did you find the 1402 schem.
If so; could I have a copy please. I'll PM my email adress.

Danielle
Would it be OK/suited/possible to put this file up for download somewhere ? Perhaps next to the 1604 @ Jakobs page ?

Thanks
It's OK with me....just tell me who to send it to that can host it, etc

TP

Thanks. Let's await reactions from the 'usual' guys for such things (existing collections, fast stuff etc), otherwise I can add it to my modest space.

Thanks,

Peter

This has dropped so far down the queue that it's probably out of sight so I'll bump it back up...does anyone want to host this schematic as there has been a bit of interest having it . If not, just PM me addresses and I'll email the schematic as I have time.....

Cheers,
TP
