I'm sure everyone already knows about this, but I was pleased when i saw them posted on slashdot this morning.

http://www.emachineshop.com/ does one-off milling, punching, turning, extrusion and more. The prices are higher for singles, but we could definitely group buy and get very reasonable prices..

their sister company, http://www.pad2pad.com/ does PCB manufacturing (very nicely) with component assembly if it is desired.

for those of us not blessed with metal shops for DIY action, this is great stuff..

Nice link  I wonder if the pricing is decent?

I think Par-Metal would be able to do any metal work for a decent price
especially if it was some kind of group order. There was a guy on the old
forum that was having his boxes done there (faceplates and all)
he had about 400 small holes drilled in the chassis as part of his design.
It was some pretty fancy Metal work. The reason I mention Par Metal
Is because alot of people here already get there rack mount cases
from them. They are nice cases for a decent price.

Gustav makes some nice pcb's he does not live in the USA, but his prices are reasonable.

[/url]www.par-metal.com/ Par-Metal's link above: This is...it would work for prototyping as well.
