Thanks for the schematic!
Again!

Darn Silent Arts reminds me of an old big band song called "720 In the Books"

Jan Savitt rockin the house on a Fats Waller tune.

A band's worth was measured by how many tunes they could pull out of their fake book.
I bet he has got 720 schematics!

When the rhythm gets to rockin' on the swing side
And the cats condescend to lend an ear
When the beatniks start to gather 'round the ringside
There's a certain thing they always want to hear
Seven-twenty, seven-twenty in the books

What's the tune they like the best
When the jive becomes de-luxe
What's the number one request
Seven-twenty in the books

When the band begins to play
You should see the dirty looks
If the leader doesn't say
Seven-twenty in the books

It's something that you'll approve
Gets you right in the groove
To keep in step
You really gotta be hep

Just be like the kangaroo
Or the fishes in the brooks
Ev'rybody's jumpin' to
Seven-twenty in the books

(Instrumental Break)

It's something that you'll approve
Gets you out o' the groove
To keep in step
You really gotta be hep

Just be like the kangaroo
Or the fishes in the brooks
Ev'rybody's jumpin' to
Seven-twenty in the books

Seven-twenty
Seven-twenty
Seven-twenty
Let's keep jumpin' to seven-twenty in the books

(just the intro)

"But, sadly, Savitt was never to make that choice for he suffered a fatal cerebral hemorrhage while driving to an engagement in Sacramento. Jan Savitt died on October 4, 1948 at the age of 35 years."

Yougest guy to play in the Philharmonic at 15 on the violin.

think the GML pre uses germaniums.

looks like a fun circuit to get to work without breaking into osc.

First two stages are set for almost max gain then there is a RL section inside the feedback then the output then feedback to the input emitter legs and the multcoil output transformer

Lots of gain and fun to stabilize feedback from a fast look at the schematic.

I would guess you could drop Si in without much if any change in sound but the Ft of the transistors will be higher with that much gain and feedback?
