voltage duobler for tube PSU

I've tried to adapt Keith's voltage doubler as used on his mic pre psu for a tube psu using a primary as a secondary. I've built it but it was a no-go. here is the schem I drew up. Does anyone see a problem?

I tried the same thing recently, but I got no doubling.

This will work only if the xfmr has a center tap connected to ground

Here's a voltage doubler that works w/o a center tapped secondary.
