I was curious to know whether or not it would be a great benefit to use Wima caps in a stompbox?

I built a Sansamp GT2 clone http://www.tonepad.com/getFileInfo.asp?id=79 and if it would benefit the sound I'd like to re-work it and pop in some Wima caps.

Also, I'm confused on with which caps to buy from Mouser.com. What size would I buy?

It depends on the box.
Gus has a data base of about 300 boxes that he has tweaked, including cap comparrisons.

Im read a few abd ecery one is different, as to optimum cap.

[quote author="pstamler"]Better caps will usually sound clearer and cleaner. This is a stomp-box, so you may not want that.

Then you can hear the true source of the "effect" better n'est pas?

The best way to learn is buy a bunch of caps and try them.

Caps are cheap. Don't believe what you read, test it.

Something to think about/ test, at stage volume do you want a microphonic cap in the effect, amp or guitar/bass tone section?
