Just wanting to show a little of my 312 type preamp. Fabios boards home etched with unbalanced outs. The input transformers are some beyer dynamics 1:10. I love the sound of this especially my cheapy bass plugged in through the DIs.

The front panel was done with the super77 method.

Are you missing the ground on the transformer? (the big solid green wire).

Like the front panel, how did you do that?

Input transformer is tiny..

I wasn't getting an ground hum without the transformer grounded, but when I finalize everything I will connect the ground. The front panel was done by spraying super77 glue onto the panel then I lazer printed the design onto the glossy part of label paper. I then rubber that unto the super77. I think I put on too much glue therefore it gave me a textured finish, but I like it very unique. I am searching for knobs to match panel, then it will be complete. Yeah the boards are big. I used fabio's layout with plans to do the servo circuit, but then I changed my mind. If I can get my hands on two more transfo's I may build another two channels with the servo. I am getting oscillation on the 1731's at lower gain settings, I need to work this out. :?

is is not called api 312. It is called api 312 based mic preamp. no offense taken.

I'll bet if he called it a Ford Mach I Mustang preamp noone would have complained lol!

That's really cool. Front panel came out great too! Congratulations!

IT'S AAALLLLLIIIIVVVEEEE! :green: :green:
