Hi to all
After joining the Prodigy about 7 months ago and drooling over the
wonderful DIY that takes place here, decided that its time to rekindle
my audio electronics interest,(after a few years in non diy mode)
The result is in the pics !
1176 dual

1176 dual
Mnats J rev boards, with G Swans ratio mods
custom GR switch and Bypass boards
OEP input, Lundal output irons
Had no problems, apart fron a couple of silly wiring mistakes
(late nights and a couple of beers) !! ;D
calibration went very smooth ,after a lot of forum reading
To my suprise each channel is almost identicaly matched
thanks to hours of FET matching !
With no HUM present on the first test ,this baby rocks
and cant wait to start recording my drums through it

A big THANK YOU to all here for the very informative threads here
Especialy Mnats and GSwan for all their work on this project

Update and added to meta

Hello,
beautifull work, I'm still working on the same project but the vu meter that I use don't work correctly (if i well understand, it requires a bridge rectifier...???), what is the vu meter you use?

Hi they are SU55 (not sure if they are sifam, maybe someone who
knows can confirm)? as they are not marked apart fron SU55 on the scale

Nice work - you should be proud. You'll use it for a lifetime.

You only need one of those power supplies to power both channels. But no matter - you could've saved a few bucks on capacitors, that's all.

Happy musicmaking :thumb:
