Hi everybody,

I?m new to this forum (at forums at all), and because of my work (and hobby) I?ve access to loads of schematics and info on old german broadcast equipment. I just started to scan a few schematics, I plan to scan them all to rescue them, but this will take time. I even thought to make a website with all of this information, but at the moment I?ve no time to do this. So at the beginning there are the schematics for you:

Microphones:
Neumann SM23 http://www.silentarts.de/lab/microphone/Neumann/SM23_Schematic.pdf
Neumann SM2 http://www.silentarts.de/lab/microphone/Neumann/SM2_Schematic.pdf
Neumann U67 http://www.silentarts.de/lab/microphone/Neumann/U67_Schematic.pdf
Neumann Gefell http://www.silentarts.de/lab/microphone/NeumannGefell/M582_Schematic.pdf
Schoeps CV60 http://www.silentarts.de/lab/microphone/Schoeps/CV60_Schematic.pdf

Dynamics:

Microphone Amplifiers:
Neumann V476B http://www.silentarts.de/lab/Studiotechnik/Neumann/V476B_Schematic.pdf

EQs:
Neumann W491 http://www.silentarts.de/lab/Studiotechnik/Neumann/W491_Schematic.pdf
Neumann W492 http://www.silentarts.de/lab/Studiotechnik/Neumann/W492_Schematic.pdf
Neumann W495B http://www.silentarts.de/lab/Studiotechnik/Neumann/W495B_Schematic.pdf

More to come, enjoy and DIY

I am bidding on a Telefunken W689.. Do you have a schematic for that?

I think I have it - give me a week to search for it and you'll get it here. (I'm off tomorrow, and scanning DinA2 with a DinaA4 Scanner is uurghhh).

for the W689 (xy/ms matrix if I remember right ?): it is no fun to service it, and the xy/ms switch will break very often.

Thanks for the welcome everybody!
Thank you! Yeah, W689 is a M/S / X/Y matrix. Have your heard one on use..?
They are great, but don't power them through a [german] schaltnetzteil [/german] (just use an analog powersuply).

this week I've to measure 7 of them ...

I'll post the infos in this thread.

GREAT post!!!
many thanks, especially for the SM2!

you happen to have acces to tubetech comps?

By the way, would it be a good idear to edit my first post for the links to include all the other schematics I have posted ? To keep it easy in the Meta Schematics Post ?

Hello,
Nice to see you all DIYers.
I've found an interesting Tube VCA schematic, could be a useful start for a tube comp design, maybe?.

Hi Fly,

That would not work "in real life" for compressors, I fear:

"..There is a slight amount of CV feedthrough with this circuit, which is transient in nature due to the output coupling capacitor. It may be mitigated (but not entirely eliminated) by providing slew-rate limiting of the CV.."

..meaning: you have the control signal breaking through to audio. This is more or less just one half of a vari-mu stage, I think.

Here are a couple sites with synthesizer based DIY tube VCA circuits:

Found this ELA E130/230/330 M/S circuit over at psw:
