do i just connect direct from secondaries before crc? i got to use 7812 and 7912  or only 7812? and what kind of caps? electrolytic i guess? not sure really how to do all the calc for this things :D or how to put it all together .. im a total noob when it comes to electrical theory
anyone? thanks!

Usually, 12V relays have working range 10...18V. If you connect them in series, 20...36V is OK.
This way, connect -rel to -15V from your power supply, and +15V to +15V of your power supply.

sorry for not updating that post .. i already used your diagram (posted on page 1 ) for GSSL wiring.. with 6-10k LED resistor and boards in series. i read it again and it all made sense!!
i just thinking.. the led goes on when bypass is "off" or when unit is compressing..

if i wire a switch like this will the led behave the opposite way and turn on when bypassing?

or last post`s? or none? :D

If I understood correct, you need LED ON when in BYPASS.
Easiest way, IMHO, use DPDT switch.
One section energize relay, another LED through Rled.

so V+ goes with SW2 on both poles of the switch ?
sorry just making sure

thanks a lot man

Hello igor!
Im looking to get a bypass swirch for the tube srpp that i am using as an input drive into my sb4000.
The srpp is a 6n2p stereo circuit that i am runnin between input xlrs on the back panel and input onto the sb4000 main board.
Will this bypass board you supply work in this situation, cuttin the srpp drive in and out of the unit?
I have been told it would be relatively easy but i would like to hear it from you to be sure.
Thank you!!
Shea

Too much missing information, sorry.
Does your srpp has a gain? Does it has transformer at the input? Output?
In general: bypass PCB can be used for virtually any insert,
but for case you ask there can be issues like gain compensation and clicks.
As well, srpp with gain inverts the phase of input signal (if there's no trafo used).
This question is kinda "how do I EQ the snare". Please provide some info.

Of course i am sorry,
Its an srpp that uses input transformer
(110-220v + 6-9v secondary, 240v primary)
There is no output transformer, i have a dual gang 100k log pot to impliment fir gain (wiper to pin 2 on tube, right leg to ground etc)
Here is a link to the srpp

I want to be able to switch the srpp in and out as needed.
I hope thisclears it up

Heres a scematic

Hi Igor,

Those DL series Neutriks have solder cup terminations?

Is it possible to use these D series connectors? If so which PCB?
Sorry for the confusion.

Is that what everyone does without ever mentioning it?  ???

@Igor:
Why has the PCB not been designed to fit without such a workaround and why is it not documented?

Hello everyone!
I have a newbe question and will be very thankfull if you help me  :)
According to attached schematics bypass board requires +/-12 or +/-24 V for relays. But for example if I'm building an EQ based on BA283 (which requires +24/0 V) can I use the same PSU for both of them (I mean bypass board and BA283 board)?? And consequently connect "negative terminal" (V_REL-2) of the bypass board to "earth" terminal on the PSU? Or maybe the most preferable variant is to have two separate PSU's?
Thanks in advance  :D
