Hi Everyone,

I just finished testing the 1o73 line input boards and they are good to go. I wired them up with an original St. Ives 31267, Carnhill LO1166, 10K-100mm P&G fader, and it all works like it should. I am using a 1X12 Grayhill, PCB mounted switch for gain switching. This module will be a nice building block for anyone wanting to build a small line-mixer with a big sound.

Here's the BOM:

from this schematic:

Note: this is not a mic pre, it's line-in only. For a mic pre with similar flavor, pls see: http://www.groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=22828

Man.. That is just what I was looking for.

Now I'll have to decide between this and the EZ1290.  :)

I just received my shipment of line-in boards (code named: EZ-LN72 :). I'm all set to start work on my mixer!! :) I have extras; email me if you're interested: martin_adriaanse -at- yahoo -dot- com

Cool! Just out of curiousity - is it possible to mix both variants? E.g. having both mic in and line in on an EZ1290?

Sheesh, so demanding!  ;D Bluzzi actually got me thinking hard with this post (the part on the elma):

I might actually do this, but it will be WICKED expensive. The thing I'm not sure about is how many people will want a rack mounted mic/line amp VS having a standalone mic pre and a standalone line stage for coloration and rounding after D/A. I'm personally in the latter camp.

Hah! It's just little ol' me, the representative of the demanding camp ::). Can't help it really. Thumbs up on the progress.

so would this be ideal for an active summing mixer? i was thinking of making a 4 ch. summing mixer perhaps with pan and a stereo out. any thoughts?

If you like the color of a Neve line-amp (which I do; it really mellows out digital edginess quite nicely), these are the ticket.
