New design API 525... UPDATE.. METAL IN..PCBs IN
« on: September 14, 2009, 12:04:02 PM »
Gents,
I've got a new design 525 that does away with most of the wiring. Only the pots and transformers need to be wired to the pcb.
Provision for a Lundahl 1540, or differential input.
Any interest?

cool Peter. any chance for a stereo link switch?
SSLtech: No bypass, I don't believe in it.
Gus: I think this build might have problems with DIY builders that don't know things like ohms law.

Sure... as long as the 120R resistor can be put between a pair of pin6s on your backplane.

Hi Peter,

I'm very interested.  I have the first generation ones but I've only stuffed the resistors - so I'd be interested in at least 2 of these updated boards.

Are they available yet?

this might get me over my grief over the sold out forssell opticals....    ;)

only temporarily though!   8)

q: is this going to be a kit as the old one? after wrangling an iec connector into a cheap and bendy steel case, I promised myself today: the next 3 projects no metalwork .

I've built one of the 1st generations... use it all the time. I might be interested in a 2nd, but have to think it over. Hope you ditched the attack mod cause it's busted.

this is possible 8):
there are jumpers between each slot to connect pin6 together, no problem to install a resistor there:
