I have a certain number of pounds permalloy plates (not all here) :

r23srs.jpg

They are different in size and shape:

  50 EI

  625 EI

  75 EI

  UI, L, O, etc.

I want to start to produce output transformers TRIAD HS-52.

Fairchild 670 Signal Amp Output = Triad HS 52

255 Turns of # 31

1425 Turnsa of # 39

1425 Turns # 39

255 Turns # 31

50/50 Core 21 EI LAms 1 / 2 x 7 / 8 inch stack ...

Thanks CJ!
  My choice - 75 EI, 6 / 8 x 1 inch stack ...
Started ...

  Thanks CJ !

    Winding diagram (on pointe)

 50/50 core 75 EI 20 x 25mm or 6 / 8 x 1 inch stack ..

             W1     348 turns of 0.25 mm or # 30 (4 layers).

             W2     732-loop UL + 732 = 1464 turns of 0.14 mm or # 35
9 layers, 165 turns per layer.

             W3     732-loop UL + 732 = 1464 turns of 0.14 mm or # 35
9 layers, 165 turns per layer.

             W4     348 turns of 0.25 mm or # 30 (4 layers).

                                   RESULT:

             wind.          DCR            induct. (100 Hz)

             W1             13.4 Ohm     2.5 Hn

             W2            147 Ohm       51 Hn

             W3            164 Ohm       51 Hn

             W2 + W3   311 Ohm        ~ 210 Hn

             W4           18 Ohm         2.5 Hn

             W1 + w4    32 Ohm          10.4 Hn

        READY !!!

  It was so :

That looks really nice! Good job!

A couple of questions:
How long did it take you to wind them?
Where did you get the permalloy plates?
What is the estimated cost per transformer?

Best Regards
D.C

holy crap, where did you get all those lams!

good job on that thing, you have a bigger cross section than stock, so better bass.

check your capacitance from lead to lead,

you did not need to bring out the taps, unless you want input taps,

is that nomex? good deal, the 52 is high voltage!  so wind it like a small pwr transformer,

who makes those lams?

this is me winding a utc a-10,

you might try reverse winding that last section and compare noise,

flip the leads of course to get the phase back,

this is what you need,

Is that totally manual work?  Or is there a motor and a turns counter?  Looks good either way.  8)

This is an old winding machine 1964.,
for a thin wire from 0.05 mm to 0.5 mm, upgraded by two stepper motors and control circuit

Nice work!
Hey vari-mu, are you by any chance from Saint-Petersburg, Russia?
Tovarisch?

I turned on  one of these transformers
in this scheme :

Test.jpg

  Everything works !!!

Frequency Response :

Low freq.    -0.5 dB    at 20 Hz

Hi freq.        -1 dB    at 25 kHz
                      -3 dB    at 40 kHz ...

you see that broken weld on the metal stand?

i know how that happened. he was winding some real heavy wirer that hung up on the spool,

dangerous when that spool comes flying over the coil,

Two pictures.
Maximum dynamic parameters:

 U output +30 dBu at 20 Hz ,
are visible distortion of the core saturation :

w03vcp.jpg

 U output + 30 dBu at 30 Hz,
 no distortion :

demtqs.jpg

But +30 dBu = 24V RMS,
whom so much need ?

Awesome!

ok, lets see 10 db at 16 and 4 hz,

also, measure insertion loss, compare known turns to actual voltage ratio on scope.

what is resonant freq?

put in a sq wave and lets see ringing?

check phase angle at 20 k cps,

What are the Real data for the Signal Output - Triad HS-52...

Are these data???????

OR these data?????.....

255 Turns of #31

1425 Turnsa of #39

1425 Turns #39

255 Turns #31

50/50 Core 21 EI LAms 1/2 x 7/8 inch stack...

By the way how many layers for each winding is necesary???
Thanks a lot
