I finished this steam punk nixie clock a few months ago, inspired by the G9 with the etched brass front panel posted here about a half year ago (I can't seem to find the thread to link to).  I finally found a use for the whizzer rings from an MCA mic capsule  ;)

Seriously cool! Good skills.

Looks like symphonic sounds ought to come out of the grills at the sides too!

The electronics were from a Nuts and Volts kit.
The base is from my grandfather's Starret micrometer, circa 1940's (real wear marks and patina  :D)
The logos were made with a film mask from a flexo plate maker, dry film resist, and etched with ferric nitrate.
The main brass housing was bent on a $20 Harbor Freight bending break.  Heavy gauge brass, just barely made it work.
Brass mesh and tubing are left over from mic projects.  End caps from the MCA capsules.
Misc plumbing fittings and brass rod soldered with a map gas torch.
