FS/FT: Altec Green Enclosure & Meter for 436/438 Project
« on: July 23, 2012, 01:31:08 PM »

I bought this Altec enclosure a couple of years ago with the intention of making a 436C clone, but priorities have changed and it's time to let it go. This is a genuine Altec enclosure and is the correct size and color for a 436C. The front panel is hinged and flips down. There are some extra holes on the front panel that could be used for trimpot access and an extra control (ratio, attack, release, whatever).  I also have a Honeywell meter that is the correct shape but the needle rests in the center and swings both ways. Maybe this could be modded or the meter movement replaced? Or just use it as is. I don't know what the sensitivity of the movement is, probably in the 1 mA region.  I would sell or trade both together or each separately.  What have you got to trade?

Thanks,

Joe

When I have money I buy gear. If there's any left I buy food.

Anders and I concluded the shipping cost to Germany was higher than the value of the case.  Anybody else interested?

Thanks,

Joe
