most of this is just copied from other post/threds i am just compiling it here. if you see any mistakes please speak up.

Here's the table of resistor values for a 24 position rotary switch. I was told you can skip ever other value if you want to use a 12 step switch. Here it is:

1 47k
2 36k
3 27k
4 22k
5 18k
6 15k
7 12k
8 9k1
9 8k2
10 6k8
11 5k6
12 4k7
13 3k9
14 3k3
15 2k7
16 2k4
17 2k
18 1k6
19 1k5
20 1k2
21 1k1
22 910R
23 750R

For you who plan to use Cinemag CM75101APC as input transformer,
I just got an email from David Geren and he told that we dont need to worry about RC and CC (the RC network on the secondary) if using this model. There's no need for them.

Just use RL = 150K and be happy!

conserning the 22 point shorting rotery switch.
Yea, the parts is Grayhill # 71BDF30-01-1-AJS , but can't find it on the website. Allied has it in the 2 decks version so you need to get one deck off it :S # 948-0133 , 5 pieces only. Jay proposed a group order a while ago, that's how I got mine, it took 40 days oor so to get them...

You want the "make before break" style, which is shorting.

i will have to add more tomarow. i am only at page 14 of 46 in the 312-the-thred thred.

what i am trying to figure out is what the parts list would be using a John Hardy 990c doa. so i thought while i research that i may as well compile the info that was posted.

as for gain switches in circuits like that, ie, gain switches that are just adjustments to feedback loops, you can put equal steps like a pot would provide, or you might find it helpful to put the resolution where you typically use the amp. For instance, if you usually use the pre at the very top of the gain boost, you could put 5 dB steps at the bottom of the switch and then 1dB steps at the top, etc. Short answer, you can put any resistors you want in there within the swing.
