Here my Addams family gets its newest addition:

The electric beardmaker!

It's basically a universal socket-any-kind of-transistor fuzz face thing, I just wanted to have one so that I don't have to wire 100 things every time I wanna stick it to two transistors - in this case, 2N1305 Germaniums, sound downright awesome.



So now I have this little family here:

The beardmaker looks awesome too. So, you have socketed the transistors for ease of testing out different ones? Sounds very cool. Do you have a schematic for reference?

Ah - sure, just basically the standard fuzz face schematic.

The transistors are soldered in here rather than socketed (so the guitar guys can't kill it),
but the board is made to accept just about anything - TO-5 BCE, CBE, EBC.

But I do have an all-socketed version so that I can ear-match transistors before I stick them in hardwire.
