Hey...

Still not enough time for diy or this place of late, but am getting around to finishing whats on the bench...

I'm near done on a dual1176 i started a while back but this time with input transformers and also some t-attens I got from NYD. After looking at the F series schemo (that shows input t and transformer config) I'm wondering how to hook it up from the input XLR as it just shows '+' and 'C' going to the t-atten...what happens to the '-' signal? Are these not setup for balanced inputs?

This is the schemo I'm referring to btw: http://www.waltzingbear.com/Schematics/Urei/Urei_1176LN_series_F_page_1.htm

Thanks!

+ to "In", - to "Com"

It's an unbalanced attenuator, but it's floating (the com side is not grounded) so it can be used with a balanced input.

Cheers Dave :thumb: I did think this but know I've seen common shown for regular ground before too...which kinda through me...

Thanks!!
