Telephone Ribbon.

It is dificult to damp (series resonancy of) bad mumetall ribbon transformer.
And to damp bell transformer ribbon ?? ... Nobel price if someone do it ...

Yes, but nice nickel laminations was used everywhere. This
was mass- produced and than cheeper.
And to DIY ribbon transformer is not impossible.

The mic design looks very close to the reslos - with the horse-shoe magnets around the back.
 
hey people

i went to this expired link and removed the end fo the url.
it brought me to a page with an e-mail address
i e-mailed it and asked for this article.
I have the article now in MSWord document.
i don't have word so i havn't read it yet.
the file is over 1 meg so it should be interesting.
the file is a bit large for my webspace.
I can e-mail it so someone if they would like to host it and post it.

Oh man... I am dying to read this and I don't have word...:cry:

If you're a windows user you should have Wordpad which can open word files. Some other applications can read word files as well. Open Office should be able to do it.

OH how wonderful .... I have just tried to open it with one of my favorite mac proggies Graphic Converter and :shock: yeah! it opened....
