D47 408a build, WOW

Much gratitude to this forum. I don't have a real 47 to compare this with, but I'm in love. C2 has a .47uf PIO, grid resistor is 68M, Moby's tx, and Arienne's Flat 47, which is magical in this configuration. I put the dropping resistor in the PS, and it does get a bit hot in there. I'll have to monitor the pot which was soldered direct to the board. Having said all that, I don't want to touch a thing. I will be recording music with this! Thanks HerbertR for your help

I listened on a cheap headset, in a noisy room at work, but I thought I could hear ringing. If so, you may need to dampen the body. I think I had to use closed cell foam to close the gap between the top plate and body on a similar body before.

Did you sell the M7? My M49b with Moby iron and a Beesneez M7 is the best vocal mic I've ever heard.

Yes, I sold the M7. In the U47, I preferred Arienne's capsule by a mile.
