[quote author="gyraf"]Here's what I found till now - the PCB layout:

http://groupdiy.twin-x.com/albums/userpics/10004/Gyraf_NoiseGate_Layout.PDF

I'll keep searching for the schematic..

This gate is based on a FET attenuator. It has key input -filters and -listen as well as hard bypass. Audio only passes FET and one 5534 - thus working unbalanced, but with very little sonic side-effects.

Controls are threshold-attack-hold-release-HPF-LPF-keylisten and bypass.

Action is indicated by a single red/green LED (that works pretty well, if I may say so..)

Just wondering if you had come across those schems yet.
Thanks

Gyraf, that looks cool, thank you. :thumb:

I am VERY interested in a good/HIGH quality noise gate that doesn't kill the original signal - for drums, guitar, rap vocals or voice overs, etc...

Schematic???

I see a couple of trimers for adjusting - Could you give us some instructions on how to adjust these

If this one doesn't pan out, what else is there worth building or buying?

Thanks,
Kevin

This thread is from 2004, so I'm not sure if the schem was eevr found, but I am interedted in some inexpensive gates for drums.

Hopefully some people "in the know" chime in.

WRONG POSTED : Schematic found, never build it so far...
mail me at (removed) and I'll send you what I've got.

EDITED : I mistakenly had the pcb-layout taken for schematic, so I don't have it
