somebody had a solid state rect plug in for the 5Y3, on the skylark, i did not notice much difference in sound so i put a 5y3 in there, reduced volts will be easier on the tube me thinks,
The voltages you specify in your schematic were measured with the solid state rectifier plug in or the 5Y3?
 
Small vintage Gibson amps are pretty hip at the moment. And rightly so, there are some gems among them. (y) Uncle Doug is building an amp similar to the Skylark in his current show, the Gibson GA-1 RVT. Also a (bias tremolo) 6BM8 SE amp, but with reverb!
