Oh it is well on the way, minus the meters that got smashed.

If equipment has karma, that desk must have done some heavy stuff in the past to end up like this.

My heart sank when I saw the picture.

:'( :'( :'(

Shipping disasters aside...

What a beautiful machine.

At least it wasn't thrown into landfill like some other 60s relics, back in the days before we knew better!

ohh... it's good to see it getting rebuilt
a great benefit to the audio world...
and the world in general.

now THAT is art restoration!
thanks for the update...& best of luck

Yeah!  That's the destination.  Can't miss that Home Depot frame, ya?  We are waiting on the new frame for the EMI because, well, the raw ply-sawhorse-tiewrap design does not go with the decor.
We are 14 weeks into the build and now just spit-shining the install.
The mains are Augspurgers in all three rooms.  The other rooms are Euphonix Fusion and Avid Icon.  Obviously the penthouse space with the British console bloodline is the place to be.
There was a piece in the NYT on Thursday-  Jungle City

As a matter of interest Mike, is the current owner of the desk the original recipient
when the damage happened.
Full respect for repairing and using it rather than splitting-up and flogging the modules.

Yes it is the same owner.  It was always about a console; not modules.
Here is a pick during:

We spent much more time cleaning cassette corrosion issues than with mechanics.
