anyone familiar with these NTP cards?
they came from a broadcast desk, and I want to use them to connect my balanced gear with my unbalanced desk.. (are the transformers any good? can I maybe use them in a DIY later?)
512 - 210 Ez Output card
512 - 120 D Input card
the input cards are for balanced to unbalanced output. they feature the ZFT type 250-300 K module, with 5kohm input impedance..
the output card I don't know yet.

I bought one output card. Is it worth it to buy another one (8 outputs) and an input card (16 inputs). They are relatively cheap.

Just starting DIY and I have no clue ;)
thanks..

and one of the transformers

I have three of those output cards. Let me know if you need schematics.

The ZFT thing at the inputs seems to be a strange kind of opamp+transformer in the same mumetal package. You have a lot of those in the input card...

I guess you can use it as balanced line input option in any transformerless gear, instead of using electronicaly balanced inputs.

These things are parts of the NTP digitally controlled patchbay - the latest range of products that they manufactured.

VERY clean - which is not bad at all for many interfacing-purposes. But don't expect it to have "sound" - everything technically possible has been done to get rid of that :)

Incredibly old bump but, did you still have those schematics for NTP 512 210Ez?
