Brilliant!

Yet further proof that anything worth thinking about has probably already been done to death somewhere!

... Still, I am a great believer in re-inventing wheels - if we had not done that many times over, we would still all be rolling down the highway on slices of log!

Thanks
Alan

because it's available in german language... and it turned out to be easier to use for me.

If you have Visio, I made a set of stencils for electronics work, including tubes!

It has some quirks I'm still shaking out, just to warn you. :guinness:
I use Orcad
What version? Ancient DOS OrCAD like I use (SDT III)?

Best regards,

Mikkel C. Simonsen

Mikkel,

I have the full ancient DOS version of Orcad; but lately, I've been using the free "Lite" windows version since it's easier to use and most of the circuits I've been drawing only have a few components.

from NYDave:
I use Orcad, or sometimes hand-draft if I can't be bothered to boot up the computer.

Must say I appreciate the Bob Pease style of circuit-drawing.
Imho it often makes a schematic more enjoyable to digest (if he has had a good steady hand that day). Adding circuit-updates is another thing...

W.r.t. Orcad-"lite": I went to the orcad-site, is it the OrCAD 10.0 Demo Software you're using ? No 30-days limit etc ?

Bye,

Peter

Michael - I built up all the symbols using the drawing toolbar, although 4001/4030 gates are a challenge. I'm very used to it now, and I can copy/paste various patterns from other circuits I've drawn so it becomes fairly quick. It also prints out in superb quality from excel.

There is an OSX version of Eagle now, someday soon I need to try it.
Will be nice not to have to run Wintendo on my TIbook just for Eagle!

Best
