Hi all. Have anyone of you designed a simple 3 or 4 band fixed EQ, that sounds really good ,just for tone control? I'm looking for one that I can use basically for tracking. Maybe with transformers. Remember, I'm no good at DIY...., so this will have to be assembled/complete..! Thanks ahead of time!....

EQ basics are not difficult to understand.

I made a Baxendall on breadboard easily. And breadboard is fun. :green:

If I was younger.. .., I'll give this DIY a shot. but since 'I'm over the hill" and rolling.. :green: ..I had better use this remaining time to make music while I can, than start trying to learn something that will take away from music just now! ( believe me, I tried DIY and the saying " can't teach an old dog'.. carries some weight ..in my case.. ) thanks again". Anyone with one assembled?...

I thought you were a wipper snapper.....

There is some cool gear on ebay, depending on your budget. There is a Rane parametric there at the mo that would be good buying...... also some older gear..... some expensive stuff.... Checkitout! :thumb: Maybe ask here if you're unsure which one to go for.

Something worth checkin out is the Klangfilm KR062 eq. It is a quasi four band fix point eq. The mid band is actually a simultaneous Hi/Low mid cut/boost. If raising the high mids, it lowers the low mids. They are very effective and sound fantastic. They also have very nice make up amps inside of them.

Re: the Klangfilm.....could you tell me some more......any hope of a schemo....?? I did a quick search but found nada...

Edit: The kids are in the bath. The bathroom is flooded, the water is running into the lounge..... and more info is here:
